Database Manager - Austin, TX

Job Summary: Responsible for management and integration of all association data.

Essential Functions:

  1. Manage all aspects of association database including reports, review of data entry for accuracy, and exporting;
  2. Interact with attorneys regarding membership status;
  3. Generate and send out membership notices and member kits;
  4. Research and resolve membership and other data-related issues;
  5. Assist with development and implementation of strategies for membership recruitment, retention, and benefits;
  6. Set up/maintain database, email-groups for TCDLA and local bar associations for better communication about legal news, and committees;
  7. Maintain batches through the iMIS
  8. Create and run reports using iMIS and Crystal Reports;
  9. Organize board meetings including reports, packets, agendas, and notifications
  10. Coordinate with appropriate staff and TCDLA members for necessary information;
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned by Executive Director;
  12. 10 - 15% travel required.

Qualifications: Ability to effectively manage database, communicate with staff, and membership. Organizational skills, including demonstrated attention to detail, ability to work independently, ability to take initiative and be a self starter, ability to efficiently schedule time and activities, ability to maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with varying tasks, responsibilities or people, excellent oral and written communication skills. Display ability to exercise tact and discretion.

Experience: Two to four years experience in database management, preferably with non-profit.
Hands-on experience with non-profit or membership association.

Computer Applications: Knowledge of iMIS or similar association database software, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00PM, Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.

Job Summary: Assists the Chief Financial Officer to ensure all financial transactions are conducted within the organization’s accounting policy. Follows all Court of Criminal Appeals grant guidelines. All work is directed and overseen by the Chief Financial Officer.
Essential Functions:

  1. Supports the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring financial compliance with the CDLP Grants;
  2. Upholds communication with internal and external vendors;
  3. Records and processes all accounts payable;
  4. Records deposits and prepares checks for deposit;
  5. Enter credit card charges into Quickbooks;
  6. Records credit card deposits into Quickbooks;
  7. Organize and maintain filing system for all accounting hard copy records,
  8. Consolidate and maintain all accounting electronic files;
  9. 10% travel required; some occasional weekend work;
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must possess excellent organizational skills, including demonstrated attention to detail, ability to understand and analyze financial data, ability to take initiative and be a self starter, ability to efficiently schedule time and activities, ability to maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with varying tasks, responsibilities or people, excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to exercise tact and discretion. Ability to work in a team environment.

Computer Applications: Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Pro, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Word Perfect 11 or above. Knowledge of iMIS or other association database preferred.

Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred, or 5-7 years solid AP experience. Familiarity with membership associations and/or ability to learn.

Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, or as needed.

Associate Attorney - Allen, TX

Job Summary: Associate Attorney to assist firm with child sexual assault criminal practice and defense of CPS termination of parental rights cases.

Qualifications: Must be licensed Texas Attorney. Heavy trial work. Must be able to relocate to Dallas Metroplex area and available to travel for cases. Experience preferred.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $72,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
