TCDLA Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is TCDLA?

TCDLA is the largest state association for criminal defense lawyers in the nation, providing CLE, resources, and advocacy.

Who can join TCDLA?

Criminal defense attorneys who are members of the State Bar of Texas can join. Law students and affiliates are also welcome.
Members of the judiciary (except honorary members) and those regularly employed in a prosecutorial office are not eligible.

Account

Why is my account Locked out?

Your account may have expired, or you may need to reset your password, Please call our office at 512-478-2514.

How do I reset my password?

You can click the "forgot password" button on the page to help you reset your password yourself, or call our office at 512-478-2514 and we can help you change it as well.

How can I renew my membership with an expired/locked out account, or if I forgot my password?

Call Our Office at 512-478-2514 to have somebody unlock your account and change your password if needed, then you can renew your membership in your account from there, or have the staff member who picked up your call renew it for you.

I am a New Member! How can I find my log in credentials?

You should have been sent your log in through email, be sure to check the junk folder, if you still can't find it give us a call at 512-478-2514.

How can I update my personal information?

You can Log into your TCDLA account and edit your info inside your profile, if your having trouble give us a call at 512-478-2514 and we will help you edit it.

How do I renew my membership?

Log into your tcdla.com account, go to profile, and select "Renew Membership" or call our office: 512-478-2514.

How can I enroll in auto-renew?

How do I opt out of auto-renew

CLE & Seminars

Where can I see the seminar agenda and information?

Head to our CLE/Events Page , select the seminar you are going to, and you can select the Agenda button for the schedule or Additional Information to see lodging information. or email jsteen@tcdla.com.

How do I claim CLE credit

Fill out our TCDLA CLE Credit Submission Form or email jsteen@tcdla.com.

Where can i find the course number for the seminar?

The course number can found on the CLE and Evaluation QR Form in your attendee packet, or call our office for assistance entering your CLE: 512-478-2514

How do i obtain CLE verification letter for out of state attorneys?

Email jsteen@tcdla.com to request a CLE Verification Letter.

How do I cancel my seminar registration?

Email mschank@tcdla.com to request seminar cancellation.

How do I accesses seminar materials/videos/webinar?

1. Sign in to your TCDLA account at www.tcdla.com.
2. Click on the red “PROFILE” button
3. Click “Events” tab
4. Select the link for the event you’re trying to access
5. There will be buttons for materials, videos (if applicable), CLE Verification form, and the Evaluation

How long does it take for videos to be uploded from a previouse seminar?

Give our staff at least a week for them to get the videos uploaded, we want to make sure you have the best quality videos to watch!

How do I register for seminars

Visit our CLE/Events Page on our website to view and register for upcoming seminars or email register@tcdla.com.

How do I register for webinars?

Once logged in, head over to the CLE/Events Page , Under CLE/Events you will find Webinars On Demand.

How do I check if I am registered for a seminar?

Log in and go to your profile. Under your profile find the tab that just says "Events". Under the events tab you will see Upcoming Meeting and Events, that will show all upcoming seminars you are registered for.

Who do I contact for questions about Travel Stipeneds?

Email kpreston@tcdla.com for any questions you may have on Travel Stipends.

Who do I contact for questions about Scholarships?

Email scholarship@tcdla.com for any questions you may have on Scholarships.

How do I access the livestream?

Once registered for a livestream you will receive an email with a zoom link to access the livestream. If you do not recevie the email the day before please call 512-478-2514.

I tried purchasing an item or seminar online and the payment did not go through

How do I renew my Voice Subscription?

Members of TCDLA recieve a subscription to the Voice for the Defense with their membership. If you are not a member but want a subscription please email mduarte@tcdla.com.
